Midthunder is a member of the Fort Peck Assiniboine tribe. Her mother was a casting lass and she was a student at the Academy for Technology and the Classics in Santa Fe. She was born in the Navajo Nation, in Shiprock. Amber, who is Native American from her father's lineage, belongs to the Fort Peck Sioux Tribe. Amber is of mixed blood since her mother was adopted. Prey features a majority Native American ensemble, with Dakota Beavers playing Naru's older brother and Jhane myers as a producer. Jhane is Comanche and Blackfeet and has advised Prey on a variety times. Coco the cute animal actress who is playing Sarii was chosen for her rare breed in the form of an American Dingo. The breed is also referred to as the Carolina Dog, is one of the oldest breeds currently in existence.
